Sarah was a professionally trained actress and performed at such theaters as the Kennedy Center in Washington DC and the Shakespeare Festival Los Angeles… Sarah loved the performance of acting however the greater fascination was the dynamic of understanding the human interactions, human personality, and human traits of the characters and their seemingly insurmountable conflicts and breakthroughs that drew her to the profession of acting.
She was a theater actor for years and loved the character analysis aspect of acting. It was exciting to ponder questions like, “What did this person experience that made her respond in this way today?” “How does he feel and is he aware of his feelings?” “What happened, and what made her change?” While it was thrilling to play the character onstage with others, it was really the factual and intuitive research and liberation of character that most intrigued Sarah.
After realizing her passion is about developing people and not about portraying them onstage, she decided to work in the corporate world in the sales arena. She began working with leaders such as Chairmen, CEOs and Presidents. Sarah again utilized her ability and interest in people themselves, not the products being sold. She learned a key lesson that relationships or people sell products, products don’t sell themselves.
And what builds relationships is questions and conversations. Sarah brought her actor’s insight and keen curiosity to her sales position and tripled her salary overnight. Decision makers bought her product from conversations (and exciting questions!) that began with golf, children, college and cupcakes. Sarah’s fascination with people brought her full circle back to theatre. She became the General Manager of two large for-profit live theatre in Los Angeles. After 7 years, she intensified her studies by attending an ICF accredited school for Leadership and Coach Training at Accomplishment Coaching. All her passions were combined at once – Character, Struggle and Liberation.
For the last 5 years, Sarah has maintained her practice in Los Angeles, CA with clients worldwide.
